Becoming a Caregiver
To become a certified caregiver for the PA Medical Cannabis program you will need the following:
Criminal Background Check
PA State ID
You can become a caregiver for your loved one who is already a patient or a new patient in the PA Medical Cannabis Program or your can become a DOH Approved Caregiver.
Step 1: Go to the PA DOH website and create a caregiver profile.
Step 2: Complete a Criminal Background Check.
Step 3: Ensure your patient has a certification; or, complete the "authorization to designate a third party caregiver" form.
Step 4: Return to the PA DOH website and pay for your medical cannabis ID card.
